Beautifully cooked sweet potatoes are a classic you'll love in just one bite!Sweet potatoes, cut into thin slices, are fried in a thick creamy sauce for a great side dish with any main course and any festive attribute.


* the ingredients :


° 1/4 cup butter

° 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

° 3 cloves minced garlic

° 1/4 cup flour

° 2 cups of milk

° 1 c chicken or vegetable broth

° 1/2 tsp salt

° 1/4 tsp pepper

° 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced

° 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

° 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves



 

* Directions :


Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Buutter 9* 13 dish baking & set apart .Disolve butter in saucepan.Adding onion & cooking about 5 minutes to translucent. Addgarlic & cook about 1 minute.Sprinkling with flour, stir to mixture thickens & cook for 12 min .Pour in broth thoroughly and beat until combined with flour mixture. Addmilk, salt / pepper and beat jointly. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat while continuing to whisk until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.


Putting half of potato in prepared dish. Sprinkling half amount of thyme & cheese Parmesan.Rinse half of the sauce and repeat the layer of potatoes, leftover sauce, thyme and cheese.Covering with aluminum & baking for 31 min .

Remove the aluminum foil and continue cooking for 30 minutes, until bubbles form around the edges. Leave the oven on the fire and leave it on the fire for one to two minutes, until the potatoes are golden on top.

Take it out of oven & permit it rest for 10 min .Season with salt and pepper to taste
