Ingredients
- To prepare the tomato sauce:
- Tomato paste: 1 tablespoon
- Tomato sauce: 1 cup
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Mixed Spices: To taste
- Zucchini: 6 pieces
- Ground meat: 500 grams
- Feta cheese: Three quarters of a cup
- Cheddar cheese: three quarters of a cup (yellow / or gouda cheese / grated)
- Onions: 1 piece (chopped)
- Parsley: 1/4 cup (or celery / chopped)
- Tomato paste: 1 tablespoon
- Mixed spices: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper: half a teaspoon
How to prepare
- Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise and empty the pulp with a small spoon, keeping the zucchini pulp aside.
- In a saucepan, saute the onions a little.
- Add the meat, parsley (or celery), and the zucchini pulp.
- Season with mixed spices, salt and black pepper.
- Add tomato paste and mix the ingredients.
- Leave the pot on a low heat for 10 minutes.
- To prepare tomato sauce: in a saucepan over a stove, put tomato sauce and tomato paste.
- Season with salt, black pepper and mixed spices.
- Leave the sauce until it begins to boil.
- Pour the sauce into the bottom of a rectangular tray.
- Arrange the zucchini seeds over the sauce.
- Fill each zucchini with the meat mixture.
- Spread the feta cheese over the filling on each piece of zucchini, then the cheddar cheese.
- Put the tray in a preheated oven on medium heat for 45 minutes.
- Serve hot with bread or rice.
